Kalo dulu jaman masih DOS kita kenal Norton Commander atau NC. Trus dilanjut jaman linux ada Morton Midnight Commander atau MC. Trus sekarang, aku baru tau kalo ada MC versi OSX: muCommander. Baru tau… pas iseng-iseng cari macem MC di OSX. Ternyata ada juga ya :D.

muCommander on OSX

Ok… walaupun belum lama pakai muCommander, sebenernya baru sekedar install dan sekali buka aja dah kerasa manfaat yang bakal dikasih nih freeware. Langsung aja copy paste dari websitenya apa sih muCommander itu?

muCommander is a lightweight,
cross-platform file manager featuring a Norton Commander style
interface and running on any operating system with Java support (Mac OS
X, Windows, Linux, *BSD, Solaris…).
Here’s a non-exaustive list of what you’ll find:
check Virtual filesystem with local volumes, FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, HTTPBonjour support and
check Quickly copy, move, rename files, create directories, email files…
check Browse, create and uncompress ZIP, TAR, GZip, BZip2, ISO/NRG, AR/Deb and LST archives
